Veterans Helping Veterans

What an amazing opportunity our club enjoyed last weekend at the Veterans Helping Veterans Charity Fundraiser on October 18-19, 2013. The weekend comprised of a fun tennis tournament, silent auction, dinner, and golf scramble. Among these events, our members and guests witnessed a motor parade, military vehicles, helicopters, the latest law enforcement equipment, and military personnel.

Playing Some Great Tennis

Our tennis tournament attracted some of the community’s best players. The matches were incredibly fun to watch with many of them going to tie breakers. Our members and community participants enjoyed a day filled with excitement and also reflection on the men and women who served our country so honorably.

Wheelchair Tennis Exhibition

Our spectacle for the weekend was having our veterans participate in a wheelchair tennis exhibition. Their coordination and efficiency around the tennis court was truly something to watch!

Our members participated with the wheelchair players to bring an amazing day of fun tennis to a close.
