The team at Golf Course Maintenance has been working hard on improving the look and consistency of the bunkers on property. Last week, the 3 bunkers on Hole 11 have been renovated and the results speak for themselves.
As you make your way around the course during your golf games, you may notice some quiet improvements that the Golf Course Maintenance Team has performed during the past few weeks. This week, we began walk mowing of tees.
If you watch all of the PGA Tour players, you will notice they have a consistent routine. Most of them look at the hole while they take a practice stroke or two. If you ever had the opportunity to watch Jack Nicklaus putt, you would have noticed how he held the putter a little off the ground before hitting the putt.
While all golfers dread the phrase “Golf Course Closed”, it is a necessity to prepare and present the golf course at its very best. For a few days this week (until October 30th), our course will be closed for overseeding.
