How to Ensure Your Confirmed Wedding Guests Attend
Written by Julianne Cuomo, Director of Celebrations.
In the last wedding blog we discussed how to get guests to RSVP to your wedding invitation. We also mentioned one of the biggest fears a bride has is seeing empty seats at her ceremony or reception. As we all know, not all guests end up attending an event even though they send in a confirmation. In this blog I will give you some tips on how to ensure your confirmed wedding guests addend your special day.
Know Your Guests
Make sure you know all your guests attendance background. Make notes to yourself, or your wedding planner, on which guests have a tenancy to be forgetful. Give those guests a reminder call or send them a message a few days before the wedding. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, you can always drop subtle reminders. Ask your guest what they plan to wear to the wedding. You could also ask them if they could help you with a task on your big day. This will ensure they are receiving reminders without offending them.
It’s Your Big Day
Remember, weddings are about the happy couple and their love and commitment to one another. Do not let a few empty seats ruin your night. Be sure to enjoy your day with the friends and family members that came to celebrate with you. After all, if a wedding guest doesn’t make it, it’s their loss not yours.
Hopefully the tips above will help all the brides out there to feel a bit more at ease as their wedding day approaches.
