Golden Ocala Hosts the 5th Annual BMW International Golf Cup

The 5th Annual BMW International Golf Cup will tee off on Saturday, May 16th at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club. The event is sponsored by BMW of Ocala.

As in the past, the proceeds from the BMW International Cup will benefit the Humane Society of Marion County.

The field of approximately 30 golfers will play 18 holes of golf on the championship course at Golden Ocala. The individual Low Gross and Low Net Winners will each qualify for the National BMW Championship from Oct. 8-11, 2015 at the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club located in beautiful Pinehurst, N.C.

Winners of the 2014 event were Joe Donnelly and Rocky Justice. So, who will take home the top spots this year and get to play at the prestigious Pinehurst?

Pinehurst, known as the home of golf in America, has hosted major tournaments from the 2014 Men’s and Women’s U.S. Open, the Ryder Cup and was recently named the site of the 2019 U.S. Amateur Championships.

When golfers tee-off at Golden Ocala on Saturday morning, they will enjoy a great game on the majestic course while supporting the efforts of the local humane society.

All participants in the BMW International Golf Cup must have a verifiable USGA handicap index.

This year, the tournament adds a brand new BMW vehicle as a prize for the player who hits a Hole-In-One on Hole No. 6. Golf fans will remember Hole No. 6 at Golden Ocala is where Paula Creamer hit a Hole-In-One during the 2015 LPGA Coates Golf Championship presented by R+L Carriers.
