Thanksgiving at Golden Ocala
It feels like a lifetime since we started 2020, so it’s especially hard to believe that the holiday season is here! Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and appreciation, and despite confronting challenges too numerous to count, Golden Ocala has a lot to celebrate — starting with you, our loyal members and trusted friends. That’s why we invite everyone to join us for Chef Rick’s fan-favorite feast — whether in person or through virtual contact. Thanksgiving dinner seatings are from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with to-go orders ready to be taken when you call.
Thanksgiving Buffet
Our traditional Thanksgiving buffet is complete with three stations, tummy-filling toppings, gourmet entrees and sides, and an assortment of holiday desserts. Grab a ladle of creamy butternut squash or roasted tomato soup before sinking your teeth into a refreshing salad option, and with that, plenty of ways to dress up your greens.
When it comes time for the main event, make your way over to the carving station for a meat lovers’ dream — whole roasted turkey, prime rib, honey-maple-glazed ham and savory sauces. If you feel like venturing into new-world Thanksgiving, locate a helping or two of Florida-seared black red snapper and rock shrimp lobster. But be sure to complement it with some classics — buttermilk mashed potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, roasted candied cinnamon carrots and much more.
As closing time ticks near, save some room for deep-dish apple, pecan and pumpkin pies. And don’t be shy when it comes to a sampling of crème brulee, assorted mousse cups and banana fosters cheesecake, followed by tarts and cookies for the ultimate sweet tooth.
Take-Home Catering
If you’re committed to a contactless Thanksgiving this time around, consider our take-home catering menu. With meals that feed as few as six people and as many as 20, you’ll surely find more than a thing or two to satisfy everyone’s appetite.
Complete Thanksgiving dinners come in two sizes and feature a whole butter-brined roasted turkey, corn bread and sage stuffing, buttermilk mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon and onions, and even more mouth-watering items. If you prefer a-la-carte style, everything mentioned above is available individually, along with a few selections you won’t find on the full menu, such as macaroni and cheese and honey-and-brown-sugar-glazed carrots.
COVID-19 Precautions
As always, Golden Ocala is taking CDC-recommended COVID-19 precautions. Chef Rick and his team will have gloves and face coverings on at all times. Hand-sanitizing stations are offered to members and guests at the entrance and exit of the club. Our staff kindly asks that you maintain social distancing on all lines, so that we can ensure a safer Thanksgiving for everyone to enjoy.
