At Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, we observe Valentine’s Day not only as a holiday for lovers, but to show our members just how much we love and appreciate them and everyone they truly care about. So, this year, we have not one, not two, but three celebrations that will prompt you to clear your calendar and celebrate this cupid-inspired phenomenon at a destination that sets the tone for romance and, most of all, fun.

Let’s Start with Tennis

Tennis may not sound very Valentine’s Day-esque, but Golden Ocala believes otherwise. It involves teamwork, hard work and commitment and, therefore, has become one of our most exciting member-centric events. On Friday, February 9^th, at 6 p.m., members are welcome to treat their spouse, partner or guest to an evening of setsy tennis and lotsa luv — phrases cleverly coined by Golden Ocala that the tennis team would be happy to tell you more about upon registration — as well as a chef’s dinner creation. For $35 per person, you and your team member receive tennis balls, a three-course meal — salad, entrée, dessert — and of course, awards and prizes. Followed By Dinner

No Valentine’s Day is complete without dinner for two. So, on Wednesday, February 14^th, Golden Ocala invites members to dine at Raspberry’s from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. For $125 per couple, guests will receive a glass of champagne and a shared molten lava chocolate cake for dessert. But first, they will have a choice of four starters — Maine lobster bisque; caprese salad; crab, spinach & artichoke heart dip; and seared tuna bruschetta. Then, Golden Ocala will serve individual salad options — classic Caesar or Raspberry’s house salad, a delightful mix of praline pecans, dried cherries, strawberries, baby greens and passion fruit vinaigrette.

For the feature presentation, we have dry boat scallops and pistachio & parmesan dusted Chilean seabass for all of you seafood lovers. But fear not, meat connoisseur, we have a special treat for you, too — roasted prime rib. And for those of you who simply cannot decide, Golden Ocala has a filet mignon and shrimp scampi meal that is just enough to still have room for that mouth-watering dessert.
