The month of May ushers in a variety of great events at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club so get ready to join in the fun. Make sure to program the dates into your device or log them all on your wall calendar!

The Marion Tennis Masters starts the month off with proceeds going to the Ocala Outreach Foundation. The three day tournament, which starts on Friday, May 1^st and concludes on Sunday, May 3^rd, features men’s and women’s doubles.

Cinco de Mayo is May 5th.

On May 5, we celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a special menu and beverages at Knickers. Make plans to join the party and enjoy a good time.

Then we start to help our youngest members prepare to shower mom with love during the Kids’ Mother’s Day Craft Event on Friday, May 8^th. The event is free and kids can select one homemade craft to make for their mom. Call 352-629-6229 to reserve a seat. Every participant will receive a coupon for a free Kids Meal at Knickers with the purchase of an adult entree.

Join us on Sunday, May 10th for the Mother’s Day Brunch at the clubhouse. This is a popular event so make reservations early by calling 352-629-6229. Tickets are $55 for adults and $25 for children. Chef Rick and the dining staff make sure each mom dines like a queen on her special day.

Next on the schedule is the 2015 BMW Golf Cup Tournament. The event is sponsored by BMW of Ocala. Golfers can contact the dealership to obtain an entry form for the tournament.

We are hosting a Memorial Day Party on Monday, May 25^th. The event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will take place on the Knickers patio and will feature a great menu ranging from $12-$16. Call 352-629-6229 to make sure you are there.

Golfers make sure you hit the greens before the last week of May or you’ll have to wait a few days to play again. The golf course will close from May 26^th through May 29^th for aerification.

All of these events are in addition to our normal schedule of activities. The golf course will also welcome participants for the Trinity Catholic Golf Tournament on May 1^st and then the FSU Booster Golf Tournament on May 6^th.
