Take Advantage Of The Many Wedding Seasons in Florida

Everyone loves a summertime beach wedding. Florida is naturally host to many of these types of celebrations. But the Sunshine State has more to offer at other times of the year as well. There are more wedding seasons in Florida than people may realize.

Taking Advantage of Other Seasons

A fall wedding in Florida can be truly beautiful. Autumn’s rich, deep colors (burgundy and navy blue) create the perfect setting. Although there is no New England style foliage, there are fewer leaves on the trees and a cooler, less humid atmosphere. And in Florida, autumn weddings are accented by beautiful early golden sunsets.

Winter is also a beautiful time of year in Florida. With daytime high temperatures around 70 degrees, it is a great alternative to Northern climates. Out-of-town guests often appreciate the destination feel of weddings. Not only do they get to reconnect with friends, but they get a respite from the cold.

For the couple getting married, winter offers wonderful opportunities to tie the wedding celebration to another holiday they love. Whether it’s Christmas, New Year’s or Valentine’s Day, these holidays take on special meaning when they become linked to a wedding anniversary.

Spring is a wonderful season of possibility and renewal. As it warms up and as plants blossom and re-bloom, a celebration of love is most appropriate. A spring wedding brings to mind pastel shades, cool breezes and sunshine, perfect for outdoor garden ceremonies.

Advantages in Planning

These seasons are also typically less busy for wedding professionals than the summer months. There can be some real advantages to marrying outside of the typical wedding season. During the less busy times of the year, it may be easier to book the place you want, and to work with your first choice vendor (photographer or DJ).

Finally, during less busy times of the year, it is more likely that all of your family and friends will be able to make it to your wedding. June, July and August are typically full of graduations, weddings and vacations. People can find themselves frustrated and double-booked during the summer months. By choosing a date at a less busy time of the year, your guests are more likely to be able to attend.
