How To Get an Accurate Guest Count for Your Wedding

Written by Julianne Cuomo, Director of Celebrations.

When a bride makes her entrance to her wedding ceremony or reception, the last thing she wants to see are empty seats. I have been asked numerous times by brides for advice on how to get their wedding guests to RSVP. Here are some of the tips I give them for getting an accurate guest count for their big day!

Making sure the seats are full can be difficult.

Close Friends or Family

Brides, the first thing you need to figure out is how well you know the guest. If you consider yourself close to the guest and you haven’t received a response, then it is okay to contact them. You can call, text or even send them a message on Facebook to remind them they need to RSVP. It is better to get an reply this way then to not get a reply at all.

A Friend of the Family

Sometimes the guest is a friend of a friend or a friend of a family member and it can be awkward to contact them yourself. In this case, you can ask a person who is close to the guest to contact them. It is okay to ask for help, especially when trying to get a final head count for your wedding.

Remember, this is your day.

Remember, this day is about a couples love and commitment to one another. Hopefully the tips above will help all the brides out there get a more accurate guest count for their big day!
