Lee Kerr comes to Royal Shell Real Estate at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club with a wide array of skills that are the perfect fit for enhancing the rental program and growing the demand for residential housing. Today, you will find him at the onsite sales center, but for the past 30-plus years, Lee was preparing to lead our team to next-level acquisitions through his diverse marketing and sales positions in New England, North Central Florida and other regions throughout the U.S.
Jack of all trades
One might say that Lee is a jack of all trades, especially if he or she manages to track down a copy of his multi-page resume and comprehensive LinkedIn account. His previous marketing managerial and executive roles include prospecting accounts for direct marketing programs in Alabama, launching marketing services in Virginia and taking part in Maine’s largest shared mail program.
Along the way, Lee developed sales and marketing plans and oversaw elements of the respective departments at a jewelry franchise in Maine, as well as 55 stores in four states where he built long-term relationships with vendors as a way of increasing market share. And not to mention, the year Lee spent increasing dining and banquet sales for an upscale restaurant, also in Maine.
Finally, Lee made it to horse country, where he tried his hand at media planning/buying and promotions at renowned companies like Ocala Publications, Inc. and Kwikturn Media. There, he enhanced local and regional businesses’ presence in the community, just as he does for Golden Ocala now.
Decades later …
Decades later, Lee considers his proudest accomplishments to be building and motivating staff; overseeing complex advertising programs; increasing revenues, usually exceeding each year’s goal; and speaking on behalf of the Direct Marketing Association, among several other impressive feats.
