November Tennis Events

At Golden Ocala, November is all about gearing up for the holiday season, giving thanks for the ways we have prospered and taking to the courts for some fall-filled tennis. T Chetty and his team have jammed-packed schedules of clinics, themed events and end-of-the-year parties planned for members whose love of the game is stronger than any obstacles this year has thrown our way.

Clinics

With the immense popularity of adult tennis this year of the time, Golden Ocala is offering several types of clinics for various skill levels and play preferences:

  • Intermediate Clinic – Mondays at 6 p.m.
  • 5/3.0 Ladies Clinic – Tuesdays at 9 a.m.
  • Beginners Clinic – Tuesdays at 6 p.m.
  • 5 Ladies Clinic – Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m.
  • Cardio Tennis – Wednesdays at 6 p.m. & Saturdays at 10 a.m.

As a friendly reminder, Cardio Tennis is heart-pumping fitness that combines traditional play and workout routines.

T Chetty will also announce a day league Christmas party shortly, so turn to the Weekly Gazette for more information.

Special Events

Since we love Thanksgiving almost as much as we love our adult tennis members, we’re offering a few themed events to kick off turkey and stuffing celebrations. First up is Cut Off The Tail, a 2.5-4.5 doubles/combo, two-round match – the first being random, and the second being level-based. Each person’s two lowest scores are dropped. There are openings on November 12th and 19th, both at 6 p.m. and including a $5 entry fee. Already, Albert Lozano, John Hanselman and Chaya Jollu are in the lead.

The C.O.T.T. tournament will segue into Burn the Bird Round Robin — two rounds of paired doubles on November 27th at 9:30 a.m. — to keep the celebration going.

And don’t forget, we still have plenty of availability for After Work Warriors who wish to relieve some stress with additional lessons, clinics, matches and ball machines.

To register for any of the above or seek further details, call the Tennis Pro Shop at (352) 402-4351 or email T.Chetty@goldenocala.com.
