Marion Tennis Masters
Call it the U.S. Open of Horse Country … or Marion County’s version of Wimbledon — but it’s upon us, and we want you to join in what’s predicted to be the best year of USTA-inspired tennis this side of Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club! Adult players throughout the region will compete for a Marion Tennis Masters championship trophy from Tuesday, February 18th through Sunday, February 23rd — with 4 p.m. starts every day except for Saturday and Sunday when rackets start swinging at 8 a.m.
Event Rundown
Sponsored by Porsche of Ocala, the Marion Tennis Masters includes men’s, women’s, mixed and open divisions, with awards presented to athletes who finish in the top of each category. Any interested adult is encouraged to register — and has until Friday, February 14th to do so.
Just go to MarionTennisMasters.com to apply and pay a $70 registration fee plus $25 for breakfast, lunch, door prizes and trophies during the event. Following the registration process, participants will be paired with opponents and receive an official competition schedule. Golden Ocala expects a record-breaking 200 people to join in our biggest tennis event of the year.
Event Philanthropy
And not to worry, your Marion Tennis Masters dues are headed in the right direction. They’ll not only go toward upcoming summer camps at the Boys & Girls Club of Marion County, but a local nonprofit called Brother’s Keeper. That’s Blessed Trinity Catholic Church’s decades-old social service outreach ministry that assists needy and marginalized parish and community members.
What started as a proactive way to grow Golden Ocala tennis has evolved into a premier tournament for tennis fanatics, so don’t miss the opportunity that is the Marion Tennis Masters! For more information, call Director of Tennis T Chetty at (352) 402-4351.
