Choosing Your Racket: Finding the Right Fit

When choosing a racket the best course of action is to talk to a tennis professionals. They can help find a racket that best suits your playing ability and appropriate skill level.

Many situations will involve the tennis player trying out a few rackets to find the right fit.

Here are a few tips to make sure the racket selection process is successful.

  1. Select only a few rackets to try. There is no need to try every single racket in the pro shop. Many rackets can be disqualified based on your skill level.
  1. Use the rackets for a minimum of 30 minutes. Make sure you hit all of your strokes to get a full hitting experience.
  1. The most important aspect of demoing the rackets is providing your feedback to the professional or technician assisting you. This will help narrow down your choices and you can find the racket you love.
