Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club can start the year off by bragging — now that it is in the 2018 Golf Range Association of America Top 50 Range in the Private Category! So, if you happen to spot a specially created logo on GoldenOcala.com or in a staff member’s e-mail signature, you will now understand why. Already, the 18-hole championship course has been listed in the Golf Range Magazine December 2018 issue and on GolfRange.org. But at the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show on January 24^th, Golden Ocala will receive a crystal award from Sterling Cut Glass for stand-out accomplishments throughout the year that led to this prestigious ranking.

Golf Course Timeline

Looking back in time, members will note that the green at Golden Ocala was designed by golf course architect Ron Garl to have eight tribute holes to exquisite golf clubs like those in New Jersey, Georgia and even Scotland. Top athletes of both genders have since competed in tournaments here that went down in the Horse Country record books, and on a daily basis, dozens of people can be found utilizing a short game area, practice holes, a driving range and a multi-branded, on-site golf shop.

With PGA-professional instruction, exclusive events and a fearless leader in Director Ryan Gray, Golden Ocala golf is evolving in fresh, fun ways. They include weekly and monthly clinics, themed socials, PGA tour fitting experiences, championship-title matches like the Roberts Cup, fundraisers like the Don Harrison Foundation Golf Tournament, and other happenings that prompted Golden Ocala to make a quality impression amongst roughly 15,000 private clubs across the U.S.
