2018 Roberts Cup Invitational
By now, you may have heard about the 2018 Roberts Cup Invitational and have surmised that its name stems from the family who created what we now call Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club. Over five decades ago, the Roberts set out to create a community that mirrored their estate in terms of equestrian, championship golf, luxury homes and superior amenities. Flash forward to today, and their vision is a country club member’s reality — a reality that is now shared each year during the Roberts Cup when golfers across the nation join Golden Ocala for a four-day, 72-hole team event, resulting in championship titles that go down in highly regarded record books.

How It’s Done
If you or those you know are interested in four rounds of golf, a tee gift, three breakfasts, two dinners, an awards luncheon, a concert and guest speakers, visit GoldenOcala.com/Venue-and-Events/Golf-Outings. There, you will find entry forms. Upon filling out and submitting those entry forms, along with a resume of playing achievements and dues of $1,100, a committee will review each submission for potential selection. Dues should be mailed directly to Golden Ocala c/o Golf Director Ryan Gray — 8300 NW 31st Lane Road, Ocala, Florida 34482. Remember, Roberts Cup entries are open to everyone.
It Could Be You
And do not underestimate one’s athletic abilities. Last year’s Mid-Amateur Division champions were Brendon Ehlers and Troy Glaus, while the Senior Division awardees were Rusty Strawn and Bryan Hancock. This time, it could be you!
So, take a chance and don’t be afraid to request further information — Ryan.Gray@goldenocala.com or (352) 402-4345. The registration deadline is October 10th, so Golden Ocala anxiously awaits your application!
