Golf is a sport for any age group. It has evolved into a diverse sport that encourages youthful participation. In recognition of youthful field practice, Golden Ocala will be holding the 2015 Yancey Junior Championships. This tournament will showcase the skills and talents of many junior athletes within the sport. We will kick off the Junior Championships with the 11-12 year-olds and end it with participation of all age groups on the last day.

The Junior Championships will start on Aug. 3 at the Country Club of Ocala and end on Aug. 4 at Golden Ocala. This is going to be a two-day event to give participants ample opportunity to get time on the various greens that Golden Ocala and the Country Club of Ocala have to offer. We encourage you to pursue this opportunity to test your golfing abilities by joining in on the festivities. This is going to be a memorable event for all youthful participants, and will be an experience they won’t forget.

HOW TO SIGN UP

The 2015 Yancey Junior Championships are open for registration until July 28th. All children ages 5-18 are welcome to sign up. Awards for 1st through 3rd place finishes will be presented for each age division. Exemptions for The Florida Junior Tour (FJT) will also be available to top finishers in 13 and older age groups.
