Super Sets at the Golden Ocala Fitness Center

Some of you may have heard the expression “Super Sets” in relation to working out. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this terminology, Super Sets are simply performing two different exercises without stopping in between. Super Sets can help you lose fat and gain muscle at the same time.
The Different Types of Super Sets
The first type of Super Sets I am going to talk about are Super Sets you can do with “opposing muscle groups”. This is where you work the upper body and the lower body in one exercise routine. An example is performing a chest exercise followed by working out the quad muscles. This is similar to Circuit Training, but instead of multiple exercises in a row you only perform two.
The other type of Super Sets I am going to explain are Super Sets with the “same muscle group”. This is where you perform two different exercises that work out the same muscle group. An example of this would be doing a set of squats followed by a set of leg extensions. Both of these exercises work the lower body muscles.
