Wedding planners recommend different seasons for different reasons, depending on couples’ desires, budgets and how they want their weddings to look, according to WeddingVendors.com:

• Fall: This is the best time for color with the changing of leaves and the upcoming holidays of Halloween and Thanksgiving. While the weather is generally cooler, couples may still hold weddings outdoors and receptions indoors.
• Winter: This season is the least popular, but couples often choose this time for its proximity to the festive holidays like Christmas and New Year’s. While the cold and sometimes the snow may hamper guests and wedding parties, the stillness and clarity of winter are sometimes preferred.
• Summer: This is the most popular season. Outdoor weddings are obviously so much easier to plan and brides can choose a variety of color themes without fear of the contrasts. Wedding settings are also more plentiful: the beach, the tropics, the country.
• Spring: This season is the most ethereal, mixed with so much idealism and new life. Colors are most abundant as flowers blossom and the weather stays relatively cool so bridal parties need not fret about heat. For all of its wonder, spring can be the most capacious with its sudden showers and moody climate changes. Spring also offers the best choice to hold outdoor weddings.
