Mother’s Day at Golden Ocala

If there is something we LOVE at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club — besides our members … and golf- and equestrian-type things, of course — it’s Mother’s Day. Regardless of who we are, where we’re from and whether we can get a hole in one, we all begin and end with our moms. That’s why we are offering you various ways to say thank you to the phenomenal women in your life, while spending quality moments honoring their everyday sacrifices and the tenderness they bring to our little worlds throughout the year. We’re talking art, food and comfort all within a two-week timeframe — without ever having to leave the gates of your favorite community.

Some Crafts and A Lot of Food

For tiny tots, it’s all starts on Friday, May 4^th. Dads, uncles, grandfathers, godfathers and male guardians: the day before swinging by your local Chipotle, Taco Bell or Tijuana Flats for Cinco de Mayo, bring your children to our Mother’s Day Craft event at Knickers Bar & Grill from 5 to 6 p.m. A hand-crafted item straight from a toddler’s endless imagination and generous heart is just what mom would want, don’t you think? And now, for the main event — Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet at Raspberry’s! On Sunday, May 13^th, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with seating every half hour, your guest of honor can choose from a wide selection of soups, salads, omelets, biscuits, meats, entrées and desserts. Maybe mom will grab a bowl of lobster bisque before making her way over to the salad bar for a caprese and some seared tuna, topped off with soy and ginger — right before she grabs an omelet and assorted toppings, as well as a cheddar cheese jalapeno biscuit (if she’s feeling adventurous, that is) and slow-roasted prime rib, pork loin or penne primavera, and cherries jubilee or chocolate fondue to properly end the hearty afternoon. Or maybe … well, you get the idea.
