Eager for Easter  

While Easter may be coming early this year, for Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club, this bunny-loving holiday can’t come soon enough. We have several hours of member-exclusive activities planned that celebrate family fun, the joy of spring, and the childhood enthusiasm of everything colorful all at the exact same time. So, rest up and get ready for an unforgettable experience on April 1^st!

Fun then Feast

Golden Ocala will jump start your morning with cash bar-style Bloody Marys and Mimosas at 9:30, followed by an egg hunt. By 10:30 a.m., make sure you have some carrots and celery ready for the beloved Easter Bunny. While youngsters take some memorable photos with the one and only Peter Cottontail, others can take to some good ol’ face painting with plenty of designs from which to choose.

After you work up an appetite, we have a full buffet brunch for your dining pleasure — just $55 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. Start with the roasted butternut squash soup to recall some fond moments of the fall season before grabbing a house salad of baby field greens tossed with savory toppings and mouth-watering dressings. Then, sample some ambrosia, a spring-time, fruit-filled favorite here in horse country.

For some healthy options, check out the farro with kale, marinated artichokes and more, as well as salad nicoise with seared tuna, Cambridge smoked salmon and deviled eggs. And for traditional breakfast varieties, look for the baked brie with fresh berries and the omelets and eggs station.

Then, the Real Fun Begins

From there, it’s on to the hearty Easter meals, like prime rib, leg of lamb, honey-glazed ham, ginger ale chicken, and seared black grouper and shrimp. But leave room for some complementary sides, such as four-cheese scalloped potatoes, herb-roasted baby potatoes, roasted asparagus, honey-glazed carrots with candied pecans, assorted breads and muffins, and a wide variety of pastries and gourmet treats.
