Golden Ocala is a “Happy Place” for Doug & Heather Schreiber
For Doug and Heather Schreiber, Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is more than a place to call home, it is their “happy place.”
The Schreibers have been residents of the community since January 2012. In the Summer Edition of Equestrian Quarterly Magazine, the couple shares the “million” reasons why they love living in Golden Ocala:
“There is just so much to do, and the community has such a vibrant social scene. For one thing, there is a nice diversity of age groups. There are plenty of people in our generation, and my parents are moving here and building a house because they fit right in too. There really is something for everyone, and we’ve met so many wonderful fast friends.”
“The 18-hole golf course is amazing, and we love having our horses right here. The Equestrian Center meets all of our needs, plus the riding trails are unbelievable. In fact, the environment is absolutely beautiful with lush pastures and shady wooded areas. You can ride mowed trails wide enough for three or four people together, and you’ll see such beauty and magnificent wildlife. I just love to walk the lake and watch the bald eagles fly overhead. One of Doug’s favorite things to do in the morning is run down to the Equestrian Center, pick an orange right off the citrus tree growing there, go for his ride and then run back home.”
“There is this distinctive combination of luxury and convenience with the amenities. In the Clubhouse, you get traditional elegance and modern amenities all in one place. We love the dining and wonderful service in the restaurants, spa and fitness center. Everything is top notch. Only at Golden Ocala can you have all this, and we couldn’t be happier that we’ve made a home here.”
We would like to thank Doug and Heather Schreiber for sharing this warm and beautiful testimony, and also invite other residents to step forward and share their own story.
