A new month is in progress and the calendar features a number of great events to keep you busy in April.

A Bunny, Eggs, & Brunch

The first Sunday of the month is reserved for the Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch on April 5^th at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will feature the Easter Bunny as a very special guest during the egg hunt. Make sure to bring your own basket to collect eggs.

Members can spend a few moments with the Easter Bunny starting at 10:30 a.m. and then from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. enjoy an elaborate buffet brunch prepared by Chef Rick and his staff. The menu will include a carving station with Garlic Roasted Prime Rib, Mint & Rosemary Crusted Leg of Lamb and Root Beer & Bourbon Honey Glazed Ham. Other buffet items to be featured are soups, salads, omelets and an array of Easter festive items.

And a special area will be available for the children to enjoy a host of activities and their own brunch buffet of kid favorites like chicken fingers, pizza, mini-burgers and fries.

Tickets are $55 for adults and $25 for children 12 and under. Remember, reservations are needed and can be made by calling 352-629-6229.

Hitting the Greens

Several great golf events are planned for April starting with the 8:30 a.m. start of the McCoy Memorial Golf Tournament on April 4^th.

The highly anticipated Men’s Member/Guest Tournament is scheduled for April 16-18. Members wanting to secure a tee time should call the Golf Pro Shop at 352-671-3933.

As part of the tournament, a Caddyshack Party is planned for Friday, April 17 for all members to attend. The event is themed after the popular 1980’s comedy set on a country club golf course being taunted by a gopher and starring Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, and Bill Murray.

The last Thursday of the month, April 26 is reserved for Couples Golf with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The event will include dinner served at 4:30 p.m.

Looking Ahead

Make plans now to participate in the Marion Tennis Masters scheduled for May 1-3, 2015. However, if you plan to enter the deadline is April 29^th by 6 p.m. It’s the community’s largest tennis tournament and proceeds will benefit the Ocala Outreach Foundation.
