You probably won’t see Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray or Angelique Kerber dashing around the tennis courts at Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club later this month for The Fourth Annual Marion Tennis Masters Sponsored by Porsche of Ocala. But you’ll probably see some excellent local players making some superb shots and vigorous volleys.

Exemplifying the best of tennis in Ocala, the 5-day Masters starts April 27. It will feature Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 and open divisions. It will allow any combination of ratings.

It costs $55 per player. Registration is required by Monday, April 25 at The Pro Shop or by calling 352-402-4351. Tournament participation includes dinner, door prizes and an opportunity to win trophies.

Golden Ocala’s best players and those who attend can expect to enjoy having a long weekend of good, competitive tennis, food and fun while helping with a local charity. The money raised at the tournament will go to help the Ocala Outreach Foundation, Inc., a local nonprofit designed help those in need in the Ocala and Marion County area.
