Meet The Professionals

If ever there was a personification of the old adage "where there's a will, there's a way" it surely would come in the form of Thiroshan Chetty. As Director of Tennis at Golden Ocala, Thiroshan has come a long way from his native South Africa. A self-taught tennis player, his ferocious drive led him to the title of South African National Junior Champion at the age of 16. From there, he competed in the national and international tournaments, culminating in certification by both the USPTA and the USPTR, and a coaching position with the Women's Professional Tour. Thiroshan was recently named "top athlete in Ocala" by Ocala magazine, and while he still actively competes in national and regional tournaments, he's also hard at work creating a diversified and enjoyable tennis program for the residents of Golden Ocala.

A native of South Africa, Tanya Petty brings over 20 years of tennis playing experience. She's played Junior tennis, Collegiate tennis, and Adult tournaments, and has been ranked as high as #1 in the State of Georgia. During her collegiate career, her teams reached top 20 in the nation on a consistent basis. She loves to work with both Juniors and Adults, from beginner to intermediate levels. Tanya is certified through the USPTA.
