Building Love Out Of Destruction...Saving Lives While Remembering Those Who Lost Theirs...

Ocala, FL August 11, 2010: Golden Ocala Golf & Equestrian Club is proud to announce that it is hosting their first ever 5K & 10K run for charity on Saturday, September 11, 2010. All fitness levels are invited to start this commemorative day either running or walking our exclusive five-star country club scenic race route. Pre-registered runners and walkers, as well as spectators, are all welcome to help support the Marion County Sheriff Foundation, our local firefighters at Station 20, Lifesouth Blood Center, and Trinity High School Marching Band.

Post race, stay for an afternoon of food, fun, and chances to win some of the most awesome raffle prizes ever offered at a race! Raffle winners must be present to win and are selected randomly by their bib number.

On sight activities include: Sheriff Ed Dean as Master of Ceremonies, Marion County Sheriff’s Office helicopter/canine/swat demonstrations, performance by Trinity High School’s marching band, BBQ lunch by Golden Ocala’s Chef Matt Colangelo, bloodmobile on location to accept donations, fire engines of station 20 on site for educational fun, and much more.  Face painting, balloon animals, and magic tricks ensure fun for all ages.
